Ryan Rajczi, an active 9 year old, has a problem not visible at first glance.  Nevertheless, it is with him 24/7.  He suffers from Asperger’s Syndrome, a high-functioning form of Autism.   4 Paws For Ability offers a way for Ryan and other children like him to better interact with the world him: by providing him an Autism Assistance Service Dog.

4 Paws dogs are specially trained to work with children who have various forms of Autism.  These dogs can help children, and their families, by minimizing the problems associated with Autism including:

  • Delayed social maturity
  • Difficulty in controlling emotions
  • Sensitivity to specific sounds or touches
  • Tendency to wander
  • Difficulty understanding the “rules” of society or why those “rules” apply

How a Service Dog Can Help

4 Paws for Ability’s Service Dogs are trained for:

Behavior Disruption—the ability to disrupt unwanted behaviors such as screaming, awkward hand or arm movements, and other Autistic tics.

Tracking—the ability to track and locate a missing child.

Emotional Support—the dog provides much needed companionship to children who tend spend so much of their time alone.  Caring for and connecting with a service dog provides a special bond of friendship leading to broader social interactions.

Ryan Needs To Raise $13,000

Ryan has been accepted into the 4 Paws for Ability program, but to get a Service Dog, he has to raise funds to assist the organization.  Ryan’s required contribution to 4 Paws is $13,000.  Please consider making a tax deductible donation to 4 Paws for Ability in the name of Ryan Rajczi.  Any size contribution will be welcome and appreciated.  Ryan and his family will be grateful for your support.
